I have a 2004 “Insult-a-Day” calendar. I’m not sure what this says about my character – I chose an “Insult-a-Day” rather than inspiring thoughts or useful facts or new words to learn – I suppose I’m an aspiring curmudgeon. Here is today’s insult:

Yes, thank you is the appropriate response. We ALL know that you have much, MUCH more brain than earwax. At least I hope that’s the case – I haven’t seen you in a while, and I would hate to think of you with great, bulging gobs of earwax falling out everywhere.
Actually, I just like the quote, and since it was your very special natal day I dedicated it, as something I was fond of, TO someone of whom I am fond.
